YouTube 2.0 Beta Channels. They Suck. I’m A YouTube Partner That Isn’t Afraid To Say So! Are You?

http://www.theawesomearchfiend.com/

You asked for it, you got it. Here are my thoughts on the new YouTube 2.0 Beta channels that we will all soon be FORCED to accept. Come July 15th we have no more choice.

Yay.

Would it kill any other YouTube partners to come out and say that they are affraid to criticise this new format or not? What’s the deal with mostly just non-partner YouTube accounts pointing out how much public opinion is TOTALLY against this change that is being forced upon us? Don’t be scared fellow YouTube partners. Free speech still exists last time I checked.

Oleo (take 1) – performed by Hashi

Oleo or Rhythm Changes : by Gershwin (I got Rhythm) and Oleo a head by Sonny Rollins playing changes of I got Rhythm.

As a kid learning Jazz, not that I’m still not learning jazz, I played this at every session I attended and most gigs. It’s not really something you learn, but you keep on trying to learn it. I’ve decided to upload a few versions of this before moving along just because it is so mood-driven for me and I never feel like I’m on top of this. I’m making no effort to make this pretty, but I’m trying to play it well. Neither of those things may be accomplished. No idea.

This is the archtop plugged in direct. Once again, my interest in getting this done triumphs over whatever tinny sound youtube can offer regardless of how well I make it sound at home.

Note about a/v quality (lack of it):: I tried encoding using a different codec, I think one for 720p but that makes no real sense since I’m only using a cheap webcam.

In revenge for my move, I think the entire video is kind of cartoonish and out of sync. Ah well. Maybe I’ll recall never to use this again.
